BRAINSTORMING - Mummy's Mask & Serpent's Skull Mashup

Advice

WARNING THERE MAYBE SPOILERS

Nearly a week ago, I posted this, a discussion on combining Adventure Paths.

Then yesterday I had an idea, combine Mummy's Mask & Serpent's Skull. Now before you rage type some reply let me finish. I think the idea requires a little more than book 1 of one, book 2 of another etc. In many ways it is closer to a homebrew with premade assets.

The concept is to refluff the Lizardfolk as Crocodilefolk, and have the campaign as like the

Rise of Sobek

Sobek being the ancient Crocodile headed deity of Ancient Egypt.

What do you think? Any inclinations on how you would do it?

My current starting point concept is for the party to start by crossing the desert to reach Wati and the opening of the tombs. They join a caravan of like minded people. Then a sandstorm has them separated where they finally come to, to find themselves alone and lost. Walking they find a desert Oasis (Water), then go into the opening of Serpent's Skull

It has also been suggested:

If you want to switch Ydersius, you could lean in to Apep, a giant snake god, mythically held to dwell underground and who wants to devour the sun on its nightly voyage. I'm playing Serpent's Skull myself, with an Osiriani character, and I and my character are both a bit suspicious about the similarities, plus the fact the degenerate serpentfolk call themselves Aapoph, clearly based on Apophis, another name for Apep. You could perhaps reflavour Saventh-Yhi as a lost city from Ancient Osirion, built during a forgotten phase of expansion into the Mwangi Expanse before they were pushed back and the city left to a group of Apep cultists who were turned into serpentfolk by their god?

What do you think?
