I was reading through the Beast Speaker options for magical beast animal companions in Heroes of Golarion, and I noticed that the Bulette option lacked any special qualities for senses, whereas your average bulette has darkvision 60 ft., low-light vision, scent, tremorsense 60 ft. Another option just below it, the death worm had special Qualities acid resistance 10, darkvision 60 ft., low-light vision, tremorsense 60 ft., electricity resistance 10. so some creatures do have them listed. Should an animal companion Bulette have any of the normal Bulette's senses?
RAW no, they're not specified but a bulette really needs tremorsense to guide its burrowing. And given tremorsense there's not a lot of reason to deny it the other senses. It still doesn't look overpowered compared to the death worm.
It gets what it gets, from a Rules Questions™ standpoint. But yeah, it really should have all the usual senses as far as I'm concerned.
