Can you trade a second level wand for another second level wand at the local market place?

Probably not. Items sell for half value, so the merchant has no incentive to trade, when he can buy your Wand for 50%, and sell you a new one for full price.


Not as a rule, no... but maybe the wand you have is more valuable in the particular NPC's eyes than the one they have, so they could be up for it.

Yeah... that's less of a rules question, and more of a narrative question. It may be possible in a specific case, but it's definitely not something to expect as a system.

No but you should be able to trade TWO 2nd level wands for a single wand also of 2nd level.

This is because items sell for half price.
