Earliest possible Telepathy or "Telepathy"?

What is the earliest possible form of Telepathy - or pseudo-telepathy - that you can think of?

The earliest trick I found was Bonded Mind + Solo Tactics, giving a character one-way telepathy by level 3 (assuming the GM rules similarly). I.E., you should be able to send messages to your allies as you're casting Message (sort of), but they shouldn't be able to send a telepathic message back.

Mesmerists get Telepathic Link as a trick at level 1, but it only activates during times of crisis (I.E. everyone's outnumbered in combat).

Do any other tricks stand out? I have an opportunity to play a Ghostwise Halfling in a Forgotten Realms game, but I need to make my own way of performing telepathy. Worst comes to worst I can always use Message and RP it as a telepathic message, but it can be overheard by enemies (which is weird).


You could just play a Lashunta. They get it as a racial ablity. One of the other Player's in the wrath of righteous game I'm in is playing one.


Unfortunately, this is for a halfling character. As stated, I'm specifically allowed to play a Ghostwise Halfling, but I have to get the telepathy through feats/class abilities/whatever else, not from my race. Unfortunately.

ah, yeah sorry. I had read your post earlier and couldn't think of anything at the time. I just noticed it again and responded without re-reading what you wrote.

The friendship domain (a subdomain of the good domain) lets you speak with creatures telepahtically so many times per day at 1st level.

The wizard specialization Enchantment[Controller] lets you speak telepathically with any creature you've cast charm person on (which is an hour per level spell).

An oracle with the nature mystery can pick up the ability Transcendental Bond which allows them to communicate telepathically a limited amount of rounds per day.

That's not bad at all if you can convince your party to let you charm them.

If they don't have spellcraft you could convince them you're "casting telepahy on them, so don't resist"
