So, is my assumption correct that since a Lion's Shield and a Sturdy Shield are both named items rather than talismans, there is no way within the rules of the CRB to combine those into a Sturdy Lion's Shield?
If so, it is really disappointing that it isn't simply a magic shield boss (separate item) that can be added to any existing shield like a normal boss can.
