I have read the blog posts about playing on sites like roll20. They are great, but understandably they are geared towards people who already know what they are doing, with regards to character creation and game mechanics. Does anyone have a tip for teaching a friend how to play from the ground up in these crazy days?
I have always used a paper character sheet in the past (I know I am a dinosaur), but I think the current situation is a sign for me to upgrade my game. Is there a good, free character sheet software that will assist with character creation and tracking of things like conditions? Barring free, is there an inexpensive one?
Any insights will be appreciated.

I imagine the character tool could be what you're after. I have a short guide on how to set up roll20 for pf2 with a few useful tricks, but it's mostly aimed at GMs who are new to roll20 - not players.
