Azlantians in Present Day Golarion

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Silver Crusade

So,
as I am reading all my awesome Lost Omens Books and there now appears to be several thousand Azlantians hanging out someplace, I think in New Thassilon.

So I admit I am not the best historian on all things Golarion and that thing call real life distracts me further but how did these get to Golarion and what campaign, season, adventure path did I miss where this all happened?

Was this something with the Runelords? Sorry have not had the chance to play that.....yet.

Or is this something to be explained in the future?

Are we to assume that a time transported Azlantian is a normal human and not the hyper buffed ones we saw in 1st Edition?

Thoughts....guidance?

Liberty's Edge

It's in Return of the Runelords, yes. Basically, one whole city in ancient Thassilon wound up getting, well, put in suspended animation right before the cataclysm that wiped the rest of Thassilon out. They just woke up during the events of Return of the Runelords.

And I'd expect them to have normal human stats this edition simply because that's how Ancestries work now. There simply are no Ancestries with stats better than the others. NPC Azlanti may or may not tend towards slightly higher ability mods than other NPCs.
