Re-roll 1s on healing

Homebrew and House Rules

I'm thinking about making a house rule to re-roll all 1s on rolls for HP regained from any type of healing. As one of my players said, "rolling a one always sucks, but it really sucks when you're trying to get hit points back," and I tend to agree.

Does anyone see any potential problems with this?

I don't see a problem with it. I think I've done it as well.

I also created a level 2 Cleric feat to add wisdom modifier to the amount healed. Very useful at low levels when you aren't rolling many dice. If the party is hurting really bad and you get one dice and you roll a two sucks really bad.

Sometimes we did that in 1st edition.
Consider that you are increasing your average healing by half a point per die rolled, notable but surely not game breaking.

You can let them take 4 on each 1d8. Take 3 if you feel 4 is too strong.

The average roll on a 1d8 is 4.5, so that would be worse than rolling :)

That's the whole point. You get some guarantee that you won't roll utter trash, but there is a cost.

It's the same idea as taking 10 from PF 1.
