Polymorph and Damage Resistance

I apologize if this has been asked before, or if my understanding of the interaction is elementary.

If a creature with specialized defenses, such as Resist Physical 3 ( except good or silver ) has a Polymorph effect that turns it into an animal, does it keep those specialized defenses?

This was brought up to me by a PFS Scenario I recently prepared, and I'm uncertain of how it should go.

PF2 tries to have clearer rules about such things, with not need to extrapolate based on philosophical arguments about body, identity, etc.

Namely, does the Polymorph effect (both in general & the specific one used) mention anything about losing the ability in question?

Odds are it keeps Resist, even if its body changes because a body changing its form doesn't have any deeper implications to attempt to interpret.
