The Secrets of Atlantis (BESM d20)

Recruitment

Long ago, there was an island continent in the Atlantic Ocean that had high technology. Lights that didn't turn off, vehicles that ran without gasoline, and anti-gravity. All this while the world without remained barbaric and savage. Or was it?

This is what a team of intrepid explorers are to find out using the Montauk Time Machine. Built in Fort Hero, the time machine is an impressive build of electrical equipment. You are a Montauk boy or girl -- a student stolen away from your High School or Junior High School class to participate in mind control and time experiments. Only this particular time experiment is to see whether Atlantis actually existed.

Character Creation
This is Anime d20 at it's best. You should have a copy of BESM D20. If not, the BESM d20 SRD is available [urlhttps://www.goofansite.com/index.php/downloads/category/19-besm-d20-srd-files]here[/url] for download. This game also uses d20 Mecha (Guardians of Order not DreamPod 9), so you can create your own Atlantean mecha. The Mecha SRD is available on the same site.

You may have 25 points (Pathfinder) in which to figure out your abilities. Race is restricted to human.

You start at level 1, so you gain 40 discretionary points to use on Attributes (Advantages) and defects (Disadvantages). Class choice is restricted to Student at first level -- but you can branch out as you gain levels. Dynamic Sorcerer and Magical Girl are restricted as this is a science fiction game rather than a fantasy one.

Advantages and Disadvantages
Be creative. Choose your attributes and defects wisely. Some combinations are good for comedy (like being gay and having the Girl/Guy Magnet defect up to the wazoo). But this game is meant for seriousness. As you are exploring a world where Atlantis and Lemuria exists.

Character Portraits
Choose an anime portrait of your character and link to it in your character sheet. Remember, you are playing a teenager -- so choose something appropriate. Later on, as your character grows, you can change it according to his or her new path (a Mecha pilot would stand beside his mecha).

I think that's everything. Lets see what you come up with.

what anime series are you looking to draw inspiration from for this game?

Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
Full Metal Panic
What actually happened at the Montauk Project.

Part of me really wants to build fumofu now =D

Oh, I see.
Go for it.

Ah, I see the BESM d20 now you mentioned in the other post.

I'm thinking Gun Bunny - I don't remember much about it other than it being about all the guns, but I always did like the class name.

I think you get a gear bonus every once in a while.

Okay, here's my character. I decided to go with a a telepath. He's one of those kids in anime who are top in their class or in the top 5. He doesn't, however, wear glasses =)

That's awesome! I think BESM d20 attributes does psychic better than Pathfinder's psychic.

Ya, I think so too; although I do really like the occult classes, they're not really psychic classes.
