Bard Focus point question

Rules Discussion

can you use two focus points (assuming you have two) in one fight without Inspirational Focus? I thought I read somewhere you could, but then you wouldn't be able to use any more Focus Points for the rest of the day?

Why couldn't you do so? All Inspirational Focus does is allow you to refocus for 2 points at once, instead of the normal 1. It has nothing to do with your use of your focus points in a combat. Of course, as with your Primal Focus question from the other day, you have to have at least 2 focus points in your pool to benefit from Inspiration Focus.

Nothing is stopping you from Refocusing multiple times without Inspirational Focus. Inspirational Focus just speeds up that process. Oops on that one, I forgot the requirement of Refocus is that you have spent focus since the last time you refocused. My bad.

Not quite. You can use multiple focus points, but would only be able to reclaim 1 from refocusing. So after using 2, you’d only have a maximum of one available as you can’t refocus withous spending focus points first.

EDIT:

This is incorrect, though. You can only refocus if you have spent point since the last time you refocused.
