Is this possible at level 6?

1st action: Enter dragon stance
2nd action: FoB
3rd action: Enter Crane stance

I've been told it's not by a wise man because "After you use an action with the stance trait, you can’t use another one for 1 round.”

Is there any way to make this work?

That wise man was correct, if your first action was to enter Dragon Stance, you could not use your third action to enter crane stance. However if you started your turn already in Dragon Stance you could FoB for your first action, then do whatever with action 2 and use your third action to then enter Crane Stance etc...

But that doesn't accomplish what I feel you are trying to accomplish. At 12th Level you could use Stance Savant to begin in Dragon Stance then end in Crane, but that is only for that first turn really.

If you were able to change stances multiple times in a turn, there wouldn't be much value in the Fuse Stance capstone after all.

Ohhh ok, so I could start my turn already in Dragon, Move, FoB, then Crane.

Next round switch to Dragon, Move or Demoralize, FoB.

Next round Move, FoB, switch to Crane.

Correct? If so that would mean some rounds I could get what I'm after which is starting in Dragon for the FoB damage and ending with Crane for the Reaction.

Yes, you could use one stance switching action each round, just not two. So ending your turn every other round in crane stance, while making dragon stance attacks is a possibility, if that's the way you want your monk to work.

Hmm Hammer you make it sound as if perhaps it isn't a good idea? Is it suboptimal? help me out Hammer!

There is nothing specifically "suboptimal" about running your monk that way. As a human you have enough class feats to play with, so feat expenditure isn't really a problem.

Really it's just a case of being action "busy". You are going to be using one of your 3 actions every turn to shift between stances instead of putting in work against your foes, or maneuvering since it sounds like you want to be demoralizing them between bouts of strikes.

Its fine to have crane stance to fall back on, sort of like fighting defensively in PF 1. But I don't see much point in constantly shifting between both stances all the time. Against specific foes perhaps I could see the value, or if an enemy prioritizes an ally rather than you in a way that you didn't expect I could see shifting between the two.

You will have to report back on how effective the tactic ends up being in play, since you've been working so hard on building this monk.
