Homebrew and House Rules


Okay, for my Fox kingdom Azeria I need some ideas. For instance, exports. My partner in imagination and I figured out the imports: Silk, Makeup, and probably gems. Azeria is a Western Kingdom of Kitsune.

For exports all we talked about is tin. They have their own iron mines and a plentiful supply of wood.

They make Greek Fire. So some rules:
1. The world is Crusades tech, so steel weapons please.
2. Greek Fire is at worst a devastating weapon for the Crusades.
3. Azeria is on the end of the Silk Road back to Cathay.
4. Azeria fields legions, but they are held in check by Margavia and the Lich Queen's Dominion.


you could use spices like salt? or if the mining is good coal would be good


Iron's a pain to lug around with wagons, pack animals, and even medieval boats. You might as well turn it into something with a better weight:value ratio before trading it away, iron goods of some kind rather than ingots. Especially since you apparently have wood/charcoal to burn.

With iron mines and plentiful wood Azeria probably doesn't have lots of flat open land for farming and cattle. Highland farm animals might run more to goats and/or sheep. Possibly pigs. This could lead to exporting some wool and preserved meats like smoked bacon or salami. They likely import a bit of grain and possibly some oil and wine.
