Transaction Declined, But Not? Please help soon.

Hello, new to the customer service forum. I was trying to buy the Character Operations Manual pdf for Starfinder but every time I clicked on the "Place Your Order" button, it would take me to a screen that would highlight in red "Transaction Declined" or what-have-you.

I've bought pdfs with this card before and it was fine, but this was weird. I tried a few more times, even reentered my information, but no success. Normally I would be fine with this and try another day, but my bank account now says this has transaction is 'in-process' for a total of 7 times.

I may want the book but I don't want 7 copies of a pdf either. Is it safe to say if it was declined after all that I won't be charged at all, or that I'll be charged just the one time? I'd really like to get the pdf but not 7 of them.

What was going on was that your card was declined because it did not pass the Address Verification System (AVS) check. This indicates that there is a discrepancy between the billing address entered for the card on Paizo.com and the billing address your bank has on file for the card. Please ensure that all of the information entered for the payment method is accurate and then try to submit the order again.

The transactions you are seeing are not charges. They are authorizations or holds, which occur each time our card processor is asked to contact your bank to check if the card is good. When this happens, many banks choose to put a hold on the funds for the expected charge. However, because your card was declined, we cannot finalize these charges. Authorizations typically reverse a few days after they appear, but I have also put in Authorization Reversal requests to expedite this process.

Thank you, Sam, for getting back to me and for the clarifications! That puts me more at ease, I'll give it another few days and see if things clear up on my end - then I'll try purchasing the pdf again with the correct address.

(I realized I forgot to update it since I only recently changed my address, slipped my mind entirely.)
