Who is the blue dragon on the Game Mastery Guide cover? (possible spoilers for Rise of Runelords)

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I know the guy in the throne is Karzoug (I assume this isn't a spoiler?) but who is the dragon? Just a random dragon or is he an actual minion of Karzoug who appears in Rise Of Runelords or somewhere else?

It might be Kazavon.

In hardcover remake its blue dragon created by Runewell of Greed.

Karzoug has an adult blue dragon with him, but there's also a very old blue dragon named Ghlorofaex serving him. However, Ghlorofaex isn't normally encountered together with Karzoug.

It may also be Kazavon, who's probably the most famous blue dragon in history, but Kazavon had no relation to Karzoug.

Its probably not Kazavon, Kazavon is colossal, is champion of Zon Kuthon who wasn't released during reign of runelords and Kazavon's dealings happened not that far ago in modern times in Belkzen

Is the blue dragon in the original or not? Also, I was thinking Kazavon as well but the two don't have any relation to each other (Though, it could be they just picked two major villains from the setting for the cover even though they aren't connected.)

Originally, we just put a blue dragon on the cover because dragons help sell products. Simple as that.

Then, when I went and revised the Rise of the Runelords campaign for its hardcover version, I put a blue dragon in that final encounter with Karzoug, as an hommage to the cover for the GameMastery Guide.

THEN, when we ordered the cover for the 2nd edition Gamemastery Guide, we put another runelord and another dragon on the cover as a callback to the 1st edition cover. But as in the first case... it's not any one dragon in particular. It's just there to make the cover look cool.
