So I'm going through the Errata that came out a few weeks back, just making sure the characters in my game are up to date with it. I asked everyone to check for themselves but I just want to make sure they didn't miss anything.
Anyway, I'm totally new to PF with 2e and we're still all wrapping our heads around the game. And I don't quite understand a specific entry in the Errata.
Spellcasting Dedication Feats (pages 222, 224, 225, and 230)
In the spellcasting dedication feats, you can prepare
or add to your repertoire common cantrips of your
spellcasting tradition, whether from this book or other
cantrips of that tradition you learn or discover.
I have a PC that has a dedication feat (cleric dedication). Unfortunately neither of us quite understand what this errata means. 'You can prepare or add to your repertoire common cantrips of your spellcasting tradition' specifically. This is already stated in the Cleric Dedication. What exactly is changed?
Can someone help me understand this? Maybe it's just poorly worded, or maybe it's just because my understanding and knowledge of PF2e is still fairly suspect lol.

I believe they wanted to make sure that the "...or any other cantrips you learn or discover" in the original wording was limited to only Common cantrips from your particular tradition and not a back way into uncommon cantrips from your tradition or cantrips from another tradition
Extract from original (p224 cleric) "You can prepare two common cantrips each day from the divine spell list in this book or any other cantrips you learn or discover."
