No more unfair terminations! (Leshy Familiar feat)

So when you take the Leshy Familiar feat, your old familiar just gets up and leaves you. The first thing I thought of when I read that was the TunnelBear VPN Software uninstall screen. It's just a really awkward thing to happen, especially if you want your Witch's familiar to play an important part in their backstory, or their relationship with their patron.

Could we get an option for this feat, so that you can take it at 1st level, like an Archetype?

Sorry. I'm not clicking it.

Without some sort of context to explain why you want us to click on a PNG which at its surface has no relationship to Pathfinder, it's just a bad idea. If you're not a spammer, I'd suggest you come back and explain - in the context of Pathfinder - what the target image is and why its content is relevant.

There have been a number of spammers recently adopting the guise of legitimate posts and embedding their links within. I don't actually think you're one (or I'd just flag the post), but it's worth me explaining why the structure of what you've written invokes caution.

Just flavour it as your previous familiar growing leaves and becoming a plant. They're magical anyways.

You versus the plant your witch told you not to worry about.

First, Wortwitch is a 1st level Feat, so taking it right at 1st means you might not even have a Familiar before that. And even if you do it’s covered

You maintain a particular affinity for leafy plants. Your patron sends you a leshy familiar. If you already had a familiar, this leshy replaces your previous familiar, but the two familiars commune during the transition and the new familiar knows all the spells your previous familiar knew.

Witches don't get a 1st-level feat.

Also, I'm totally aware of the familiars communing. It's still awkward. You have the first familiar coming to give you all these amazing things, then leaving shortly after. Why not send the leshy in the first place?

Silver Crusade

Ah that is right, my bad.

Granted Humans can get a1st level Class feats so that’s a (small) consolation.

Maybe think of it less as your teacher and more your councilor who sets you up with a teacher that better suits your needs?
