Multitalented feat and no dedications

Rules Discussion

Hi there,

Would be possible to take the multitalented feat even if you don’t have a dedication?

Quote:

You’ve learned to split your focus between multiple classes with ease. You gain a 2nd-level multiclass dedication feat (for more about multiclass archetypes, see page 219), even if you normally couldn’t take another dedication feat until you take more feats from your current archetype.

If you’re a half-elf, you don’t need to meet the feat’s ability score prerequisites.

The "even if" part doesn't state that you need to have a dedication, while the 2nd-lvl multiclass is just to forbid you to take let's say one of the new lost one lvl 4 dedication feat.

Am I correct?

You do not need to already have a dedication to take multitalented.
