Iruxi Crocodile Animal Instinct

Advice

The Iruxi are super cool and I have a concept for an Animal Instinct Barbarian who reveres the crocodile, buuuut I'm waffling between three options to substitute.

Shark, Snake, Wolf.

All three could work, but I'm leaning towards shark?

As long as you don't take animal for shark and snake are the same, I'd take snake, sharks can't walk

I would definitely say shark, crocodiles are generally a jaw attack, not a fang attack, and the grapple element is very fitting for the way a crocodile latches onto its prey and doesn't let go.

I think the thrash feat is a good thematic fit here, as is the animal skin feat. If you went further down the animal instinct feat chain, I would talk to your GM about being allowed to turn into a crocodile instead of a shark with the feats that let you turn into your animal.

Yeah, it'd be a whole cloth swap, basically. Anything that relates to the animal would be crocodile instead of the one from the chart.

shark seems the closest and for a GM just doing the croc animal form should be no big deal as its an easy conversion. Gators and sharks have similar type attacks powerful jaw attacks and then grapple ripping the prey.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, shark seems like a very direct and easy conversion.
