Monsters action points

Rules Discussion

Hello, I m here to ask something about action points of monsters.
Actually in the manual they all have a list of action they can do, but do they have a total of 3 ap like the characters?
Or they can do only one action. Per round?
Thanks for help and sorry if there is any error in the message, my English is not the best.

Monsters have 3 actions and one reaction per round just like player characters. No differences there. :)

Allright thanks a lot, sir blue sneak :)

The only exceptions are minions, which only get 2 actions per round and only if commanded by their master spending an action. And people who are slowed, stunned, or quickened getting more or less actions based on those conditions.

What about Hero Points - for like boss monsters, powerful NPCs and the like?

If they should be recurring villains and such and it feels appropriate, then they should have them also following the same rules as for PCs.

For unnamed redshirt type enemies whose only purpose for existing is to provide something for the PCs to fight, probably not important to write down Hero Points for them.

Important, recurring villains can also use the Dying rules to have a chance to be dragged to safety by their minions once they go down.

Their minions and other "random" enemies are declared dead once they reach 0 HP.
