Does a scroll disappear when you copy it to your spellbook?

Rules Discussion

I cannot find anything regarding this. I know the scroll disappear when cast it, but can't find any reference to what happens when used to copy it.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Learning a spell doesn't say it destroys the source, so it doesn't destroy the source.

Would make it rather hard to convince another wizard to let you copy a few spells from his spellbook, wouldn't it?

In PF2 the scroll is not used up when you try to copy it into your spellbook regardless of the degree of success and if you fail, you can even try again from the same scroll (after you've gained another level).

thank you both!
