Just picked up Spell Immunity, and was wondering what would be good options to choose. What are some of the most common spells used by monsters in the Bestiary?

Anyone?

I haven't delved into it a lot, but honestly I hope the answer is "None, it's really situational, you have to know what you're going up against and what they have".

Combing through the book manually, I'm seeing a LOT of dispel magic. Seriously, nearly every monster that can cast spells can cast dispel magic.

Sadly, I don't believe it's eligible for spell immunity.

I still remember a great stunt I did once with Dispel Magic loaded into a Ring of Counterspells.
That's the spell I would suggest, but as you say, it seems that it doesn't work in second edition because Dispel Magic now doesn't target a creature.

My guess would be wait for the GMG with the NPC stat blocks. In many campaigns, most enemy spells come from spellcaster NPCs rather than outright "monsters".

A few patterns I've noticed -

In addition to Dispel Magic, monsters -really- like Invisibility. This does not really help with Spell Immunity.

Paralyze and Charm are common on monsters, especially the latter, but they're often slotted at levels that makes them useless unless you're fighting the monster when it's several CR above you, and they're sometimes even lower than that. Despite this, they might still be the most common offensive monster options.
