Cloud jump and max distance

Rules Discussion

Looking to build a dragon type character from final fantasy, jump really high then comet down for extra damage. My main question is with jump and cloud jump skill feat. Normally a jump has a maximum distance of up to your speed, does cloud jump, or any other feat/power, remove this penalty.

I don't recall any feat that just lifts the restriction period, but Cloud Jump does give you the option of spending extra actions to increase your jump by your Speed (per extra action).

I guess I should expand on my question. Cloud jump states, "Triple the distance you Long Jump (so you could jump 60 feet on a successful DC 20 check). When you High Jump, use the calculation for a Long Jump but don’t triple the distance". I read this as you triple the distance you can long jump, i.e. your long jump becomes 3x speed, and high jump is speed. Does this seem right, or am I interpreting it wrong.

Oh, I see. I read it the same way.

Thanks fuzzy.
