Hunter's Edge: Outwit
You are talented at outwitting and evading your prey. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Deception checks, Intimidation checks, Stealth checks, and any checks to Recall Knowledge about the prey, and a +1 circumstance bonus to AC against your prey’s attacks. Furthermore, the first time you roll a check to Recall Knowledge against your prey, you may treat any result you get as one step more favorable (ex. a critical failure becomes a failure, a failure becomes a success, and a success becomes a critical success).

...

Comparing to Flurry and Precision - which are quite strong in different and cool ways - I think this Edge needs a competitive edge. This houserule means that you will never provide false information on a botched check, and works much more consistently with Monster Hunter, all "reigned in" by the fact that it only applies up to once per creature.

Hunter's Edge: Outwit
(Ranger 0)
You are talented at outwitting and evading your prey. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Deception checks, Intimidation checks, Stealth checks, and any checks to Recall Knowledge about the prey, and a +1 bonus to AC against your prey’s attacks. Furthermore, the first time you roll a check to Recall Knowledge against your prey, you may treat a success as a critical success.

The bonus to AC is no longer a circumstance bonus - meaning it stacks with Monster Warden - and the last sentence gives increased reliability with Monster Hunter by granting it's benefit on a simple success, to make up for not taking the Flurry or Precision edges, which very reliably grant a combat bonus.

Monster Hunter
(Ranger 1)
Prerequisite: Trained in Nature
You swiftly assess your prey and apply what you know. As part of the action used to Hunt your Prey, you can attempt a check to Recall Knowledge about your prey. When you critically succeed at identifying your hunted prey with Recall Knowledge, you note a weakness in the creature’s defenses. You and allies you tell gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your next attack roll against that prey. You can give bonuses from Monster Hunter only once per day against a particular creature.

Added the pre-req to increase the consistency and build-up towards Master Monster Hunter, which otherwise has a Nature requirement that sort of comes out of nowhere. Otherwise no change here.

Monster Warden
(Ranger 2)
Prerequisite: Monster Hunter
You understand how to defend yourself and others against your prey. When you grant bonuses from Monster Hunter, you and your allies also each gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your next saving throw against that particular creature and to your AC against that creature’s next attack against you.

This feat is unchanged.

Expert Monster Warden
(Ranger 6)
Prerequisite: Monster Hunter, Expert in Nature
Your knowledge of the natural world lends insight into it's supernatural elements. When using your monster hunter ability, you may instead use Nature instead to assess it's weaknesses. Furthermore, if you critically fail on this check to Recall Knowledge, instead treat the result as a failure, and you may retry on subsequent turns using your hunt prey ability.
If you have the outwit edge, you may use Nature to Recall Knowledge against any creature (not just your prey).

This feat is brand new, and is designed to make the transition from monster hunter to master monster hunter feel more natural (pun), with the added benefit of eliminating the false knowledge fumble against your prey. Also, to keep outwit edge rangers "ahead of the curve", this feat continues to extend the knowledge benefit to non-prey creatures and general use checks.

Master Monster Hunter
(Ranger 10)
Prerequisites: Master in Nature, Expert Monster Hunter
You have a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of all creatures of the world. You can use Nature to Recall Knowledge to identify any creature. In addition, you gain the benefits of Monster Hunter (and Monster Warden, if you have it) on a success as well as a critical success.
If you have the Outwit edge, you treat all successes on Recall Knowledge checks to identify creatures as critical successes (not just those against your prey).

Added the last sentence, again, to keep outwit edge rangers "ahead of the curve" by extending the knowledge benefit to non-prey creatures and general use checks.

Master Monster Hunter
(Ranger 16)
Prerequisites: Legendary in Nature, Master Monster Hunter
Your knowledge of monsters is so incredible that it reveals glaring flaws in your prey. Your bonus from Monster Hunter (and the bonus from Monster Warden if you have it) increases from +1 to +2 for you and any allies who benefit.

No change here, included for completeness's sake.

I like it.
