Does the Beginner Box GM Guide include anything that teaches you how to play, or anything in addition to what the Core Rules provides?
I have the Core, but its big and while its full of rules, it doesn't seem to give you any "so this is how you play" type guide.
I'd love a quick and dirty, here are the basic rules and items needed to start and play a game, here are more complex things you can add later.
Suggestions?

Hi there! This is a very late reply to your message, so you may have moved on, but we recently did a fairly comprehensive review of the Beginner Box that should answer all your questions. You can find it here: Starfinder Beginner Box Review by the Gallant Goblin.
But yes, the Beginner Box features a simplified version of the full Starfinder rules and does give you quick run down on how to jump in and have an adventure. You can move on to the full rule set when you're ready to add the complexity back in.
