2E 2nd level Boon

Not sure if this is in the right place.

The 2nd level boom says you start out with 30 gp. Now if you actually play those scenarios you would in theory be able to get a max of 57. Assuming you find all 10 treasure bundles in each scenario.

For the 3rd level boon you get 75gp and the max you get if you played is 123gp. Am I missing something? It almost seems just to play and not spend you PTP on these boons?

There have been a few threads on this.

The 30gp for 2nd and the 75 for 3rd, match the lump sum totals from the wealth by level table, so they are probably correct.

The system does assume you're spending some gold on consumables, but I think at a greater rate than most player do (especially given the free consumables from Swords/Spells/Scrolls and items found natively in the encounter).

So yes, PTP level boosts (or the various protege boosts from Envoy's) do trade of some low-level gold for faster progress. I'm personally ok with that.
