I just want to confirm something I think I'm reading with the new edition but want to make sure is true:

From what I'm reading, it appears that alignment restrictions are now only present for the Champion and Cleric classes, while other classes that formerly also lost class features if the character strayed from their prescribed alignment, namely the Barbarian (any non-Lawful), Druid (any Neutral) and Monk (any Lawful), have had those restrictions removed, much like how 1e Pathfinder did for the Bard class.

Is this accurate? Can one now theoretically play a Lawful Barbarian, a Chaotic Monk or a Lawful Good Druid or something?

Silver Crusade

Yes.

That's how I am seeing it too.

Also, cleric restrictions are only be based on choice of deity. Not the class as a whole.

Eventually champion restrictions will only be tied to choice of deity and will determine the subtype of champion used.

So yeah. Alignment-based restrictions on classes as a whole is going away for the most part.

Yay! Thanks both of you! :D

Also, alignment is a prerequisite to pick up options with the corresponding trait. So if you have a Lawful spell on your list, you can only learn it if you are Lawful.
