Hey all
I am completely new to pathfinder and will be running my first 2E game this Friday but I'm working on a homebrew setting and will be doing a few homebrew Ancestries. I've not included much information as I'm still working on full details but I'd love some feedback for what I've done so far.

Oasis Gyokuto
You have spent most of your life in deserts and have thinner fur compared to other Gyokuta keeping you cooler in extreme heat, granting you heat resistance equal to half your level (Minimum 1). You treat environmental heat effects as if they were one step less extreme.
Thank you
A Pathfinder newbie.

That looks pretty good. For the plains you may want to say that you get training proficiency in the unarmed attack. Maybe an automatic increase to expert at some point.

I have acted upon the feedback and have started working on the 1st Level Feats, any feedback for them would be great. Some background for Gyokuto, they are rabbit folk who have a lover of tinkering with machinery but also love the natural world and are a cautious race. I'd be interested in seeing how my feats hold up.

Ancestry Feats
Follows same ancestry rules as other races.
1ST LEVEL
Gyokuto Lore [Feat 1]
You spent time learning the history of your people, learning the old ways and how they have changed as new ages of technology came to be. You gain the trained proficiency rank in Crafting and Athletics. If you would otherwise become trained in either of these skills (from background or class) you instead become trained in a skill of your choice. You also become trained in Gyokuto Lore.
Gyokuto Weapon Familiarity [Feat 1]
Your den have trained you to be familiar with graceful weapons which you prefer over blunt weapons. You are trained in Shortsword, Rapier and Main-Gauche. You also gain access to all uncommon Gyokuto weapons, for the purpose of determining your proficiency, martial Gyokuto weapons are simple and advanced Gyokuto weapons are martial weapons.
Cover of Night [Feat 1]
Being used to wandering you learned of the dangers of camping at night and have taken caution when setting up a campsite out in the wilds. When setting up camp for the night or in a cave you can add a +2 circumstance bonus to blending in with the background to hide your camp.
Natural Ingredients Only Please [Feat 1]
Though many Gyokuto like machinery and tinkering they also love nature, you’re no different and when making anything from natural resources you can get double the amount of items from the same crafting roll.
Danger Sense [Feat 1]
You are always on high alert and always looking out for something that could easily make you a meal or kill you. Whenever you make a perception check using smell or hearing add a +3 circumstance bonus to the roll. Always best to be careful.
Guidance of the Moon [Feat 1]
You feel a connection to the moon and reach out to it every night for guidance, due to this personal connection you share you gain one cantrip from the Primal spell list {Page 314} you can cast this spell as a primal innate spell at will. A cantrip is heightened to a spell level equal to half your level rounded up.

I'm going to disagree with Omni - I don't think a heritage should give you expert proficiency automatically. Consider for example that this means a Gokuto wizard gains expert unarmed a full 6 levels earlier than normal, which is a huge boost. It also doesn't need to grant trained proficiency, because everyone is trained in unarmed attacks. A better point of reference is the razortooth goblin heritage.
I would instead handle progression from there with ancestry feats, like ancestral weapons.

Yeah, your right. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote my original comment. Probably because I was getting familiar with the new book. The Razortooth is a good reference for balancing that ability. I herby withdraw my previous suggestion.

I also realized belatedly that you don't need ancestry feats for progression, either - all classes either gain or are supposed to gain, post errata, unarmed proficiency at the same rate as simple proficiency.

I have spent a few days working on the last few bits needed for a completed Ancestry. Please let me know of any changes you think are needed. I am still trying to get used to Pathfinder and all its intricacies. I tried to make the race as neutral as possible even though this is made for a homebrew world.
I hope you enjoy my race of Gyokuto aka Rabbitfolk coming in at a little over 4ft thanks to their ears, they have various fur colours with emblazoned colourful runes that weave throughout the fur. They love tinkering and crafting, love nature and are always finding new ways for tech and nature to work together in harmony. [Lore is still being worked on]
Here is the latest version with all feats, let me know of any changes, feedback, criticism, heck rate it out of 5 as well.

A few suggestions:
By the book, the scent part of Danger Sense won't really come up as gyokuto don't have scent, so they can't pinpoint creatures by smell (although maybe you could make a perception check to detect poison in food or something? Idk) You could also give them imprecise scent with the feat, so that it has more utility (this would allow for example detecting an invisible creature in a noisy environment). See page 464-465 for more info. Besides that, a +3 bonus to perception is quite strong, especially at 1st level, as that's a bonus to initiative (easy to fluff any initiative roll as a hearing check) , so maybe take that bonus down to a +1 or 2 at the most.
Disengaging Flip doesn't give any mechanical benefit over taking two Step actions. Compare to Elf Step, which does the same for one action (but doesn't come until 9th level). Maybe change the flip to increase the distance to 15 feet?
I would attach some numbers to Gift of Lunar Glint and the Bright version's benefits to finding natural materials, such as a bonus to Survival or Nature to find such materials.
Overall a very nice concept. Good job!
