The Ancestry feat table lists "Special 1st," "Heritage 1st," and "Feat 1st."
If I'm reading this correctly, "Special 1st" is for something like the Halfing's Keen Senses, "Heritage 1st" is for something like the Half-Elf heritage's Low-Light Vision, and "Feat 1st" is for your first-level ancestry feat?
There's some confusion among my friends about whether "Heritage 1st" and "Feat 1st" do as above, or if you get two Ancestry feats at first level.

Well, first, I'd suggest that learning how things work from the character sheet is a terrible idea. Its just someone's idea of organizing things conveniently, it isn't a guideline in any way.
Heritage is one of the ancestry heritage traits, which you pick at first level.
For halfling, these are Gutsy, Hillock, Nomadic, Twilight, and Wildwood. You must pick one (and only one).
On the other hand, half-elf is a heritage. Low light vision is a mechanic granted by being a half-elf, since the base ancestry, human, doesn't get it. But the character sheet has a place for vision types.
You get your first ancestry feat at first level as well. For halflings, there are 8 of those.
'Keen eyes' could go in the 'Special' box. Personally, I'd want it somewhere near perception score, since it provides a bonus to Seek actions.

Nobody knows what the "special 1st" space is for. Many have guessed as you did.
If you read the CRB Ancestry section, you sadly discover that you only get *one* Ancestry feat at first level.
I kind of like the idea of taking two Ancestry feats at first level, and might decide to do that in our home campaign. But it's a slippery slope. What would I then say to a player who doesn't want an extra Ancestry featn and prefers a class or skill feat?

Tell him/her to play a human? :)
