Based on my read through it seems that upgrading your shield with an armor potency rune or resilient rune does not seem to make sense. I am not even sure if you can...based on the Runes entry it talks about armor and weapons but I guess would make more sense to add it your armor.
If you are not wearing armor it might...but I seems like those could be add to your adventuring clothes instead. I guess a shield is easier to to grab in pinch where putting on armor takes time.
So can you add armor potency rune or resilient rune to a shield? I think I am think not but thought I would ask.
