Not sure if I missed it, but what types of action is it to change crips on a weapon. Several feats allow you to as part of the action. But what action would I spend to do so?

See Table 6-2 on page 273 and the definitions of Interact and Release on page 470. Interact is a single action, and Release is a free action. You use Interact to add a hand to your grip of a weapon and Release to remove a hand from it.
Oh snap, I saw changing equipment and didn’t think that would have my answer, totally overlooked it. Thanks that was driving me crazy I couldn’t find it. I had a feeling that the interact and release were going to be the answer for that.
