Poison question

Rules Discussion

Under Snake form (level 2 Druid spell Animal Form) it states the creature deals 2d4 dmg + 1D6 poison damage. What else does poison do besides 1D6 damage instantaneously? How does it work? I can't seem to find much in the book. Is there a saving throw? Does it last multiple rounds? Any help greatly appreciated!

It is just poison damage for the snake form. It doesn't do anything else.

Poison Damage just means that it will probably be hard to be resisted by some creatures.

Some creatures are of course immune to poison or have poison resistance.

Normally most poisons have onset periods, saves, various stages and how long it lasts, but the snake from animal form just do poison damage and that's all.

As the spell specifically states, you don't gain anything beside what it is listed.
