Interrupt Casting

Rules Questions

Is it possible to interrupt a spell of "magic missile" or "mirror image" (Casting Time 1 standard action)?
In the rules it says:
"The interrupting event strikes during spellcasting if it comes between the time you started and the time you complete a spell (for a spell with a casting time of 1 full round or more) or if it comes in response to your casting the spell (such as an attack of opportunity provoked by the spell or a contingent attack, such as a readied action).

I understand that these spells can not be interrupted because they are not complete round (only standard action). They could only be interrupted in response to your casting the spell or Aoo. Is correct?

Thank you.

Silver Crusade

They can be interrupted either via an AoO or a readied action. Another possibility is from ongoing damage, say Acid Arrow.

Thanks

An immediate action by another PC or NPC might also be able to interrupt the cast.
