Spheres of Power character check

Advice and Rules Questions

Here is my level 4 incanter.

Could someone with experience in SoP check if I didn't overdo the talents and other sphere specific stuff? I mean it has a lot of stuff to do for a 4th lvl character, to the point I think the class is a bit overpowered in low levels at least.

Also a couple of questions:
1. Does Channel Life (linked on character)feat add the whole cure power with talents when I channel? Meaning on this level I cure 2d6+2d8+4 with a single channel energy?
2. Is there any way to get flight without Alteration sphere?

Flight talent from Telekinesis.

You could also get a flight-capable Conjuration companion who can carry you.

And though it's not true flight the Lighten talent from Enhancement does let the target become weightless and "fly" via the "zero g" method.

You get warp for free from your specialization, two from being a magic class, and 6 from level ups. 9 total. I only count 8, minus the 2 you get with destruction drawbacks.

Channel life does give you the full life sphere basically with your channel. Be careful, you can't grab selective channeling, so it isn't a combat option for you.

Also an error, you list for your feats (2) but have 3 listed, with extra magical talent.

Lastly you have somatic drawback, I suggest taking it twice for more spell points. You can't wear armor anyways, so it isn't changing anything for your character.

Ok, 10th is from the feat.

Which is bonus from Destructive Heritage alternate racial trait for tieflings which gives me Basic Magic Training, which becomes Extra Magic Talent since I'm a sphere class. I'm not 100% sure on that line of reasoning but it functions similarly in psionics.

Ok.

Why can't I wear armor? First time I take Somatic Casting, I can wear light armor. Although since I'm not proficient I forgot to include -1 a.c.p. in attacks. I'll probably change armor to studded.

Can't wear armor/not proficient. It is totally the same thing.

Didn't realize, wasn't looking at the race. That racial bonus is pretty huge.

You only forgot the 2 free talents that any spheres class gets the first time you take a spheres of power class.

Ok for the armor. I don't phrase it that way if I don't have arcane spell failure, so I thought there is some restriction elsewhere.

Yap, the extra from tiefling is powerful although I did spend it on the same stuff racial trait gives me (destruction sphere).

The missing talents were there just not assigned (they were listed as +2 talents at the bottom of spheres), I assigned them now.

Thank you for double checking and advice, SorrySleeping.

I think basically the biggest offender in this case is Channel Life which lets me skip two talents from life sphere, and makes healing supernatural rather than spell-like (although positioning is an issue as you noticed), and maybe the big bonus from tiefling (and very easy to take Destruction drawbacks). At higher levels I won't have nearly the breadth of options as a wizard but at low levels incanter is a bit loaded class (especially compared to other spherecasters). And I think early teleportation also kinda skews perception because we're simply not used to it.

I started this thread because my players were: wow this is broken, he can do a lot (and this is a basically a support DMPC), so I just wanted to double check everything.

Sorry, just seen it now. Yeah the Conjuration version does not suit me, like Alteration. The Telekinesis one is basically fly spell (which is what I was looking for, sorry for the phrasing), although if I understand correctly the fly speed is the movement you get with basic telekinesis (20ft +5ft/5CL). Is there any way to increase it (other than the Acceleration talent, which requires a straight line)?

Greater Speed

Thanks, I'm blind :D

Liberty's Edge

You should only heal 1d8+4 with cure. As such your channel should only be 2d6+1d8+4.

Restore Senses talent increases the helaing by 1d8.
