I am running an arcane sorcerer and about to be 10th level. I am going to get a Wizard Cohort with leadership feat. The cohort is primarily going to run a magic shop and create items and Rods. We have a large group so I am not really interested in having the Wizard with us all the time. I am wanting to get some opinions on and thoughts on what I am thinking this is the first character and game I have played.
I want to get telepathic bond cast with permanency between me and the cohort so that with teleport/greater teleport I can reliably have either one teleport to the other. My thinking being if they have the bond one can study and area to up the familiarity for the teleport table and the other should know all the same info. He can run the shop most of the time but if I find ourselves in a situation that may require more magic he can be there.

Telepathic bond isn't a total mind/sense share--it merely facilitates communication. It'd be just fine for greater teleport, but it wouldn't help at all for teleport.
That said, it's still a great spell to have on your list. We ran pretty much all day once our wizard reached 10th level. (I don't recall whether he bothered with permanency or just cast it every time it wore off during adventuring.)

I would agree with blahpers. It's more like having someone on the other end of a telephone. So they can't see what the other sees. They could however describe, as necessary, in great and elaborate detail what the surroundings look like. And as well the cohort could bring along within teleportation limits anything that might be particularly useful for the current situation the party might find itself in. Or should your sorcerer or companions get in the deep end the cavalry already knows it needs to come a charging to start the prison break, recover the corpses, etc.. Lots of fun if you can get a way to combine with the divine spell Status. All sorts of naughty tricks get suppressed with both of those running 24-7 not to mention the tactical advantage of 'talking' with and knowing where everyone is at any given moment for your group.
