Alchemist questions- Admixture interaction with Discoveries.

Greeting all, I have a 10th Lvl Grenadier Alchemist with Targetted Bomb, Lightning Lash, and Hobbling Bomb Admixtures and the Stirge Syringe Discovery.

The Stirge can deliver bombs after it attaches, but do/can i apply the effects of any Admixtures the attack?
More on point, do i have to imbibe the Admixture extract before or after creating the Stirge?

It took me years to realize, but the " This effect on your magical reserve has no effect on any discoveries that you use to modify your bombs" is supposed to mean "bomb discoveries do not work with admixtures" (or specifically "admixtures do not work on any bombs that are using a bomb discovery")

I don't know why they went with such confusing text.

Heck, I don't even know why all the admixtures that they gave alchemists are either mediocre/bad or outright horrible (ex. Shadow bomb Admixture) considering that they do not work with discoveries. It is really disappointing.
