Experimental Gunslinger Gunsmith

Hi,

The rule states "the experimental gunsmith is treated as having the Gunsmithing feat, but only in regard to his beginning firearm..." My question is, is this just in regards to his beginning firearm for innovation purposes? Can he/she still use the gunsmithing feat on other firearms, just not add innovations to firearms other than his beginning one?

Its replacing the Gunsmith/Gunsmithing features from the base class, so you do not have them except from what the new ability gives you. So essentially, no you don't have Gunsmith for other firearms. There is some language about replacing a lost firearm, but I don't think that is the situation you are talking about.
The Innovation class feature even talks about if the gunslinger were to take the Gunsmithing feat so it seems pretty clear that the archetype doesn't have it.
