The Lumber Consortium

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Dark Archive

Andoran, Birthplace of Freedom's Timeline (page 5) states that the Lumber Consortium is founded in 4139 AR, while Andoran, Spirit of Liberty (page 4) states it was founded in 1853 AR.

Which is correct?

Shadow Lodge

Let's perform a smell test.

Hmm, it certainly seems closer to 600 years old than 3,000.

Maybe a bit of both ?

The wiki has it funded in 1853, but apparently not much relevant to History before 4139 and its rebirth in Darkmoon Vale, with lord Rakesclaw buying out his partner and turning it into what it is today.
I could certainly see that : bold, rich and unscrupulous capitalist turning a minor or failed operation into a borderline criminal trade juggernaut ? Sounds plausible.

The Guide to Darkmoon Vale might be the book with those informations, going by the article. It's likely to have relevant stuff regardless, old as it may be.

Thanks! That's probably the best way to interpret it. I think it's possible the initial founding was 1853, because it was initially an organization meant to help out Taldan shipbuilding interests.

The two books still conflict, however. I wish I could get some of that sweet, sweet James Jacobs input.
