Dispel magic vs multiple spells with same caster level

If I cast dispel magic against a target with multiple spells of the same caster level and make the caster level check, which spell is dispelled? Let's say I have 4 spells, level 4, 3, 3, 1. I am assuming it is a simple random check regardless of spell level.

It doesn't say how you should decide which one if their are ties. Random is fine.

Dispel Magic Greater can dispel multiple spells, and it says "starting with the highest level spells and proceeding to lower level spells" and it makes sense to me to do it that way for dispel magic as well. If we have a tie of caster level and spell levels random would be the next step.

I've done it the way Dave has posted above, randomly select from among the highest level spells and working 'down' the spell levels until the done. So I'd start with the 4th level, then work down randomly deciding which 3rd to check first and if necessary checking the 1st level last.
