AP with Dance / dinner party

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

Hopefully I didn't have some fevered dream.

I tried googling, but no luck.

Wasn't there an early AP which had the PCs attending some sort of masquerade ball, or a dinner or something, and there was a bunch of RPing to have to get some information from aristocrats?

There's one in Hell's Rebels. They visit the city of Vyre. It's volume #99, Dance of the Damned

Shadow Lodge

There is both a dinner party and a masquerade ball in Dance of the Damned.

But I think you're thinking of the dinner in The Sixfold Trial, as Council of Thieves came out in 2009, while Hell's Rebels came out in 2015. Council of Thieves is thus much more deserving of the description "early AP."

And even earlier than that, there is the banquet sequence in The Prince of Redhand, the eighth chapter of Age of Worms - which was a Paizo adventure path published in Dungeon Magazine, and may or may not still be available in PDF form. That adventure path was written for 3rd edition D&D and its twelve chapters took PCs from 1st to 20th level.

There's also a dinner party in Legacy of Fire which is a regional cultural norm for buying/selling very valuable items, such as the Scroll of Kakishon. The party puts the word out that they're selling, and people interested attend the party.

there's definitely a dinner party in CURSE but the aristocrats aren't super talkative...

Grand Archive

There is one in Jade Regent as well, in the fourth book.
