Campaign not showing on my profile

Hi!

I am using this alias in a campaign, but for some reason this alias's Campaign tab appears empty to me. The campaign in question also doesn't show up on the Campaigns tab of my main profile.

The GM has checked and double-checked that he has my character marked as Active, so I'm not sure what else the problem might be.

I just wanted to let you know that we have taken a look at the problem, but unfortunately, we cannot find out why it is displaying to you this way. Everything on our end appears to be correctly set up. I'll ask around again after the holidays, when we have a few people back, to see if anyone has an experience with the issue.

I have noticed now that when I am not logged in, I can see the campaign I am looking for--but once I log in I can't see it.


It's possible that you may accidentally have hidden the gameplay thread; that will make the game not show up in your Campaigns tab (or anywhere else while you're logged in). The hide button is right next to where you click to see the latest post, and it's particularly easy to hit if you're reading on a phone or tablet.

If you go to the Play-by-Post forum and click "SHOW ∅" next to the Search box, see if the thread you're looking for shows up in the list. (It will be in gray text rather than blue with the notation "Hidden" next to the thread title.) From there, you can click the ∅ again to unhide it. (It's on the far right.)

There have been people where there's an actual bug interfering with their campaigns that has to be fixed on Paizo's side, but if it's a hidden thread, you can fix it yourself.

Thanks for the tip! I did some double-checking and found that the Gameplay thread is not hidden, so perhaps I am affected by this bug.

I noticed the same issue. I can see the campaign just fine listed under your campaigns, which indicates it is there, and looks correct for how we see it set up on our end. It's very curious that it seems to be because it's you that it disappears. It is much like when it is hidden for a specific individual, rather than an error in the campaign itself.

As I mentioned, we will need a few more folks in the office to give another crack at looking at the deeper tech issue this could be. I will follow up with you after the new year. Have a happy new year, by the way!

As a sanity check, I went and looked again to make sure that I do not have the Gameplay thread hidden. And I did the same for the Discussion thread, for good measure.

I look forward to hearing what you find out when the staff return from the holidays and are able to attend to it.

I believe we have resolved the issue! It was indeed the case that the campaign (not the threads within, which is unfortunately a distinction the system cares about) was hidden from you and a bug prevented you from being able to view or toggle hidden campaigns.

The campaign should now be visible to you. If you have any continued difficulties, please let us know. Thank you!
