Mummy's Mask

Hi all,

I shall be starting a fresh game tomorrow, and my instincts tell me that my players will wind up probing into the merchants and vendors who are supposed to turn up to the lottery.
I've looked at the notable city locations, but I'd also like some suggestions to populate a list - ideally enough for a d20 roll
Looking forward to your ideas

Scarab Sages

1) Ahmed Osiri (M Garundi {Osirion})- Runs a deli cart "The Bleached Crock", primarily serves crocodilian cuisine.
2) Thomas Renchurch, Antiquities Dealer (M Kellid {Ustalav})- Sells minor occult trinkets and charms, all laced with just enough magic to show up in a detect magic spell. Is really a member of the Palantine Eye
3) Chop Chop & Tails (F Mwangi {Sodden} & Lizardfolk) - Cooking duo that sells packaged vegetables and soups.
4) Sister Artafas (F Cheliaxian {Druma}) - Runs a Prophets of Kalistrade funded adventuring gear booth.
5) Set (M Keleshite {Osirion}) - General Fence

6) Brother Girmai (M Garundi{Osirion} Adept or Cleric 1) - runs a hastily set up "Exploration" stand for adventurers. He sells items found in the player's guide(under 'The Best Gear for the Job'), for any adventurer that rushed out to the desert without understanding the dangers of the sands.

7) Arckam (Male ?{Ustalav} Sorcerer 2) A strange man in almost circus/sideshow garb, he's the last survivor of a failed adventuring band. He's quite willing to sell off the supplies the team has along with small scrolls, potions, and strange hand crafted dolls he calls Poppets.

8) Candus (Male Taldan{Osirion} Expert 2) An elderly merchant that runs caravans to and from cities and has a foot in the exporting business. He's Taldan by birth but has lived in Osirion most his adult life so knows the customs. While in Wati he can give a good price for any artifacts dug up, and if if a friend, can help out in books 2-3 possibly.

kinda yoinked archmagi1 set up. But here's some merchants I had running around in mine.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Thanks for the vendors everyone.
The party wound up spending most of their time with the food vendors, and I avoided having the croc guy arrested for sacrilege by declaring his meats bootleg.
As I thought, they used their choice of merchants as a way of introducing character details, so this was a helpful resource
