Is there a god of mad scientists?

The demon lord Shax kind of gives me that vibe, even though its not officially part of his portfolio.

Well there is Oras from Starfinder.

Haagenti is certainly a contender. He is the demon lord that gifted the Drow with fleshwarping which is pretty... Disturbing...

Why searching for something complicated ?? Nethys, the mad god of Magic, is the perfect fit for a mad wizard trying some crazy things with science ...

Although Brigh is the neutral goddess of clockworks and invention, I could easily see a CN or NE worshipper taking her teachings in a darker direction.

Haagenti seems like the best as I even imagined the mad scientist being a CE alchemist.

Grand Lodge

I would go Abraxas or Haagenti.

If I recall, I did write some of Haagenti's boons with a little mad science in mind. ^_^

Yeah, I wouldn't overthink it. It's the brilliance behind Nethys' concept. Mad scientists aren't necessarily objectively evil (which is a weird phrase to type), it's just that their brilliant isn't "restricted" by a lens of morality. It really defines Nethys. Magic is magic no matter how it's wielded, and brilliance is brilliance no matter its intention.

Nuclear physics has created sustainable nuclear energy, but also atomic weapons.

Organic Chemistry has engineered many modern medicines, and also toxic chemical weapons.

Even in nature, mistakes in genetic processes has given rise to mutations and eventually evolution as we know it, but is also the culprit in many cancerous diseases.

Maybe not the patron of mad science, but as a god of forbidden knowledge that a mad scientist might want to tap into, I can see revering Norgorber to that end.

There was, but he killed himeslf to prove a point.

More seriously, there are always

Iron Gods AP spoilers:
the Iron Gods themselves...!

Edit: Brigh would also be a reasonable choice.
