Sword and Board Fighter in need of Feat Advice

Advice

I am Planning on Building A fighter for The new Campaign Two of my Friends will be Gming

I recently made a thread about doing a Dimensional Agility build but soon Realized that Since My group dose not to Exp for levels, but rewards levels as rewards for completing long quest I may only gain 1 or 2 levels in said game and may never get to be a Teleport-ing assassin like i wanted

so instead I am planning a fighter

My Goal is to a offensive tank. i want to be able to take hits but punch back as well

so far these are Feats i am thinking of taking

Race - Human

Feats -
(LV1) 1: Weapon Focus - Short
(LV1) 2: Two Weapon Fighting
(LV1) 3: Improved Shield Bash -
(LV2) 4: Endurance
(LV3) 5: Diehard
LV4) 6: Shield Slam
(LV5) 7: Combat Expertise -
(LV6) 8: Stalwart -
(LV7) 9: Spiked Destroyer
(LV8) 10: Power Attack rolls
(LV9) 11: Combat Reflexes -
(LV10) 12: Cut from the Air -

Going Advance Armor and Advance weapon Training

Your feats seem kind of all over the place, and you're putting a ton of resources into DR that isn't going to do all that much when you take the really dangerous hits. As a Fighter, you probably want Iron Will.

If you want a high AC shield fighter with punch, focus on strong Two-Weapon fighting and building up AC.

If you really want to use Stalwart, focus your build on getting Improved Stalwart and using Crane Style. Fighting defensively with Crane and a bit of Acrobatics grants +4 Dodge at -2 attack. Build the whole Crane chain and you get +8 Dodge at -1 attack.

@ BadBird

I see. I did not Realize I was being all over the Place

Do you Have Feats suggestions for A Pole-Arm Fighter?

Not the Archetype I Still want Advance weapon and Armor Training

If using a reach polearm, have at least 14 DEX and Combat Reflexes for Attacks of Opportunity. Use Lunge to attack from 10 feet away on your turn. Tripping can work very well with reach weapons, but costs feats to do well. You can make a polearm and shield build with Shield Brace.

@Bad bird

Ended up going slayer and focusing on fient and TWF

Took mythic Imp fient

We are allowed to start with one mythic feat

And use my talents to grab TWF and Imp two weapon fighting via Ranger Combat Style

Accomplished Sneak Attacker grants more Sneak Attack.

well these are my feats and talents

Feats-
LV1 Dodge
LV3 Combat Expertise (Combat)
LV5 Weapon Finesse (Dex to Hit)
LV7 Slashing Grace (Dex to damage with Wakizashi)
LV9 Two-Weapon Grace

Mythic Feats
1 Mythic Improved Feint (Fient as a swift action)

Slayer - Talents
LV2 ranger combat style - TWF
LV4 Rogue Talent (Canny Feint) = Improved Feint
LV6 ranger combat style - IMP TWF
LV8 Rogue Talent - Combat Trick = Greater Feint
LV10 Assassinate -

You can't use Slashing Grace with two weapons, sadly. But Ranger Combat Style means you don't need to have high DEX to use TWF anyways.

Instead of two Finesse Wakizashi, consider going strength and using a one-handed sword in one hand and a cestus or spiked gauntlet in the other hand. When using TWF, you attack with the sword and the hand-weapon. But any time you aren't using a TWF full attack, you grip the sword in two hands. Changing grip is a free action, so you get to switch between two-handed and TWF for attacks, which is very strong.

Note that Slayer Study Target is supposed to use a swift action as you go up levels. If you use Mythic Feint, you can't use Study Target unless you use it as a move action. But using Study as a move action ruins your combat for a round.

Mythic Vital Strike is extremely good, you might want to use that one instead with normal feint.

@ Bad Bird

can you help me set up a Two handed Slayer who uses Vital Strike (Mythic version and so on )

@ at bad Bird acutally could you help me with a fighter base around that?

Sure. If you want to use Mythic Vital Strike on a Fighter, I'd also get Greater Trip and Felling Smash. Then you can bash things with Mythic Vital Strike and then knock them down and hit them again.

I don't know how complicated you want to make your build, but there's a million cool things you can do with multiclassing Fighter.

You can make a strong two-handed Fighter with DEX too, if you want.

@Bad-Bird

so a few questions

first I plan on using a a keen falchion

I am taking power attack

and weapon training heavy blades (at level 10)

Have weapon Spec

and A STR of 20

what would my damage look like if i were to crit on a power attack vital strike if i had mythic vital strike

* What level of point-buy are you working with?
* What sources is the GM allowing?
* Does the GM frown on multiclassing?
* What is the rest of the party looking like?
* A you playing from 1st-level, or parachuting in higher up?
