Question about the common Rakshasa

The common Rakshasas always have the heads of different animals Is there some factor that determines just what head a Rakshasa gets, whether one has a tiger head or one has crocodile head?, etc or is it all just random?

Rakshasas are usualy born out of mixed rakshasa-mortal couplings, and in that cases I'd assume that the child resembles the same animal as the animal parent. In rare cases when rkashasa is born to two human parents it may be random, although it may also be connected to the cause why a rakshasa soul was able to take possesion of the baby.
