Scarves of the Stinging Dancer Charges and Number of Missiles

So I'm curious with the above item when it's counter attack magic missile effect is proc'd, how many missiles are shot and how many charges of it's starting 50 does are used?

It says the magic missile is caster level 3, so by the spell that is 2 missiles doing 1d4+1 each. So each time it's effect is proc'd that would use two charges?

That would be my reading. If it said it could only be activated 50 times that would be different, but it says "50 missiles".

It also says 'a missile' and 'this missile.'

My reading is that each missile has the effect of a 3rd level magic missile spell (2d4 + 2 damage) but the form of a single wasp shaped missile.

The item has 50 charges, each charge produced a 3rd level magic missle effect, just like a wand of magic missiles (CL3).

The pricing seems about right for this as well, it is about twice what that wand would cost, but of course activates without a dedicated action and keeping it active requires a skill check and somewhat limits what other actions you can do.
