also the penetrating weapon quality + the other two...any one have any thoughts?
In the SF discord we had a discussion about this exact question. I believe the general consensus was that in the absence of some clarification by the Devs or a GM houserule, you follow mathematical order of operations. So that would be reducing the hardness by half, THEN reducing the halved hardness by the Penetrating amount. As for how this interacts with Adamantine weapons, i am not sure.
I'd be inclined to let your ulrikka duster adamantine sword cut through anything reduced below 30 by the fusion, but that's just my interpretation.

Hadn't thought of that and I'll admit the idea of following the mathematical order of operations is appealing to me ....the thing that bothers me a little is that ulrikka duster adamantine sword can be a level 2 tactical sword and could ignore the hardness of pure adamantine ..not sure how unbalancing that would be.....still like that rule for how penetrating and ulrikka duster would work together though.....LOL.. which sorta gets me more lost because i was thinking maybe penetrating then adamantine then duster ...following the order of weapon then ammo then enchant(although since all apply to initial damage that's flimsy)...also that way every part helps(until 20th then you don't need duster)...but then again maybe adamantine and duster are meant to work together because there are not many penetrating melee weapons .......well you definitely gave me something else to consider anyway....thanks

Also a good point(and definitely seems to be a common decision in Starfinder rules in general) .....but i feel like each part should be worth having in some way ....However if you let Duster go before Adamantine that will be all you need to completely ignore all hardness in the game....not sure how i feel about that (since you can do it to a second level sword)...but at the same time i do want a way of getting there eventually ...

I wanna correct something i said...50 is highest hardness for building material but it can get a lot higher for weapons ...if its 20th level multifold industries ..self made with durable its 27*3+5 base = 86,HARDNESS ... we should be thinking about that too......hum.. and now i realize that, 86 actually beats all three added together in the most favorable way 86 - 20(20th penetrating w) halved for duster = 33 ...adamantine fails to penetrate .........and now I'm conflicted again
