Phase Lurch and Etheric Tether Line of Effect

If an ectoplasmic phantom phase lurches through a wall and loses line of effect to the spiritualist, is the phantom subject to the countdown limitation listed under the etheric tether ability, or is that just for incorporeal phantoms?
