The Mystic's Healing Channel states:
You can heal yourself and your allies. You can spend 1 Resolve Point to channel this energy. Healing yourself with channeled energy is a move action, healing an ally you touch is a standard action, and healing all allies within 30 feet is a full action. This energy restores 2d8 Hit Points and increases by 2d8 at 3rd level and every 3 levels thereafter.
Does "allies" include drones? The Mystic Cure spell specifically targets "one living creature", but Healing Channel does not make this designation.
Intuitively it seems like healing channel would not heal drones, but if drones are considered allies, then RAW it seems that it would.

as healing spells & abilities only affect living targets and because the drone is not classified as a construct instead of living it would believe the intent was for it to not be a legal target or the ability.
As its not stated either way it would have to come down to a judgement call by your GM I would imagine.

Yea been reading into it on other threads and people seem to think it works with Healing Channel and Healing Touch and technically they would work on undead too.....does seem to be supported by subclass description of healer which lists "Tyrannical Necromancers" as one of the profiles...Neither ability says it's actually "positive energy"

A drone is considered a construct with the technological subtype for the purposes of spells and effects targeting it.
A construct is a magically animated object or an artificially created creature.
Traits: Darkvision 60 ft., low-light vision, construct immunities, unliving; set Constitution modifier to —; must have either the magical or technological subtype
Constructs are immune to the following effects, unless the effect specifies that it works against constructs.
• Bleed, death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects, necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep, and stunning.
• Ability damage, ability drain, energy drain, exhaustion, fatigue, negative levels, and nonlethal damage.
• Any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect works on objects or is harmless).
Necromancy spells manipulate the power of death, unlife, and life force, including spells involving creating undead creatures.
Your connection channels the life force of all things—as well as its counterpart, death.
The creature has no Constitution score or modifier. Any DCs or other statistics that rely on a Constitution score treat the creature as having a score of 10 (+0). The creature is immediately destroyed when it reaches 0 Hit Points. An unliving creature doesn’t heal damage naturally, but a construct can be repaired with the right tools. Spells such as make whole can heal constructs, and magic effects can heal undead. An unliving creature with fast healing (see page 154) still benefits from that ability. Unliving creatures don’t breathe, eat, or sleep. They can’t be raised or resurrected, except through the use of miracle, wish, or a similar effect that specifically works on unliving creatures.
A number of subtypes don’t have full entries. Those that don’t grant additional abilities to creatures are listed below.

While the value of your drone is immense, only you, with your extensive knowledge of its quirks and security measures, can ever hope to operate or repair it.
An ally is a creature you see as helpful. Some abilities allow you to affect an ally with a benefit of some kind. The GM has final say on who counts as an ally. See page 242.
Sometimes an ability targets or requires an enemy or an ally, such as the envoy’s watch out improvisation. You count as your own ally unless an ability says otherwise. The GM has the final say on whether someone is an enemy or ally; you can’t declare one of your fellow party members to be an enemy or an enemy to be an ally just to trigger a special ability.
TL;DR:
• Healing Channel is a necromancy effect
• Constructs are immune to necromancy effects
• A drone is a technological construct
• A construct can be repaired with the right tools
• Only a drone's Mechanic can repair it
• Spells such as make whole can heal constructs
But also:
• Healing Channel affects "allies"
• The GM has final say on who counts as an ally.
It takes some piecing together, but I believe a Drone would not normally benefit from Healing Channel. Of course a lenient GM who wanted to give a strapped party a break during a tough fight could rule otherwise.

This exactly. I can understand a individual "wanting" Healing Channel to work this way but based on all the available information about subtypes, constructs and the like the rules pretty clearly back that this was not the intent of the spell despite its unclear wording. If it was meant to function in that manner it would be an exception to how most other things function and believe it would have been called out as doing so in the rules for that ability. Including Drones in the definition of companions is a stretch anyway. They aren't autonomous, don't have souls nor are they sentient. They are simply useful tools available to the mechanic.

OTOH, if you follow that logic, Healing Channel wouldn't help an undead either. Even if the mystic is a devout follower of Urgathoa. I suspect the intent, especially since there totally are "healing" spells that apply to constructs and undead, is for Healing Touch/Channel to be as agnostic as possible.
( As an aside, I interpret "ally" to mean "whoever the caster chooses to view as an ally". Its a way to define spells that are "friendly fire proof" so to speak. )

Why not?
The quotes I provided above state that "magic effects can heal undead".
The Healer Connection even calls this out.
It's constructs that are immune to necromancy effects, not undead.

If You call it necromancy and necromancy can't effect constructs ...and androids count as human or construct whichever is worse ...the PC androids have a problem
This has specifically been FAQ'd:
When the constructed ability for androids says they count as both constructs and humanoids, whichever effect is worse, does that mean they cannot be targeted by a beneficial effect that only targets one of those two types, since not getting the benefit is "worse"?
No. When determining what abilities affect an android, and how, replace the first sentence of the constructed ability with the following. "For effects targeting creatures by type, androids count as both constructs and humanoids (whichever type allows an ability to affect them for abilities that affect only one type, and whichever is worse for abilities that affect both types)."

No, they added additional comments to make clear the *mistaken* belief that "invalid target" is a lesser effect. Nothing was changed, they just forgot to make clear that "N/A" is not the same as "0". Attempting to heal an android was always a case of only having one effect, not two to choose between.

"Invalid target" isn't even language used in the original constructed... it says you count as whichever one is worse ...not being healed ...is worse ...and if you cast a mystic cure on a construct that does not have Unliving(like android) the spell is still cast(VALID TARGET)....but by old wording of constructed would have the worse effect(no healing as per construct ......thankfully we got a faq
