Just a detonator, with no other device involved? No.
As for setting explosives as traps in general, there's a lot of ways that the GM can decide to handle that, and the specifics of how you're trying to set a trap may change how it works out.
There was a whole thread you could search for, about different ways that people might do that, that started from a question about using warning wires as bomb triggers.

Cool thanks. I’ll check out the other thread

Weirdly, I'm not seeing it. I remember this whole discussion, where someone wanted to use the warning wire device from armory as a bomb trigger, and was arguing that because the warning wire has a static perception DC, that should be the DC for the whole trap.
Someone else was saying they would only allow it to be used with appropriate sized explosives, so they could calculate the trap CR, and reduce XP accordingly (which was a reticle approach.)
I was saying I would use survival skill to determine trap perception DC. There was some discussion about save calculation, since DEX wouldn't make sense for a placed grenade. It was a whole thing.
I think maybe I remembered a discussion that happened in a Discord channel as a forum thread.
